This is a tradition that Ketchikan has done for like 30 years. They host an annual
Clark Cochrane Christmas Classic.
It's a basketball tournament that goes from Wednesday-Saturday. They bring in teams from all over. Some years they even had teams from Australia, Maryland, Massachusetts. It's a really nice tournament. It's put together very well. It is for boys and girls varsity. It's enjoyable to watch most all of the games. We had several friends that also spent most of the day at the gym. We all hung out and had a lot of fun. It was a fun 4 days. We were all housing too. That's where we take in players from other teams. I had two boys from Craig, Alaska. They were very nice. These are the teams this year that came up:
Palms Springs HS, California
29 Palms HS, California
St Helena HS, California
Philomath HS, Oregon
