(this picture was taken at low tide. In the morning during our yoga sessions we had a higher tide and so the water was closer)

This was one of my favorite things at camp. There were a few ladies that teach yoga and so they held yoga every morning for anyone that wanted to attend. 

It was so surreal. 

You are on the beach barefooted, 

listening to the waves of the ocean, 

chirps of the birds, 

gawking sounds from the eagles,

 and the songs of the whales. 

Yes, one morning we had whales in sight while we were doing yoga. It was so amazing. It felt like the scene was taken straight out of a professional yoga video on the beach. 

It was like a dream. 

Alaska is so beautiful that it frequently feels like you are in a dream.

what a blast!!

Oh my goodness, 

I don't think I have had this much fun in a long time.

Have I mentioned how much I love Alaska???

It's so unique. The ferry ride there and back was so much fun. For 36 hours  you have absolutely nothing to do, 

but read, sleep, giggle, and eat. 

Oh and I better throw in a few games of truth and dare!

This picture was taken on our way up to Juneau. We had 2 stops on the way there. You can get off the ferry and walk around during the stops. They are usually 45 minutes. This one was in Petersburg.

Sooo embarrassing, 

but this was after 5 days of camping.

I'm off to Girl's Camp....

This will be a new experience. 

We don't meet at the church, 

jump in cars, 

drive a few hours,

and arrive at camp.

In Alaska, we meet at the Ferry Terminal,

board the Ferry,

boat for 36 hours,

and then arrive at camp.

At least it's in cabins. I can handle no coke for a week, but without my blog or e-mail. Yikes! This day in age really makes camping inconvenient.

Bear under the porch

We had a bear visit our front porch today.

Our neighbors called and said that a bear just left their yard and was headed down the mountain into our yard. Dad walked out on the front porch. He didn't see the bear at first, but then the bear walked out from under the porch. I grabbed the camera as quickly as I could. By the time I got the camera, he was already headed up the mountain. Once he got to the top, he just watched us for a while and then wandered off. It's strange, but the black bears really aren't aggressive. He just casually walked away.
