The kids discovered today that we have blueberry bushes and salmonberry bushes all around our house. They actually grow wild everywhere here. 

Summer is FINALLY here.  It was so cold last week and really the whole month of June. Today hit 80 degrees. That's hot for Ketchikan. The kids were getting too hot outside. Actually the more I think about it, the neighbor kids were getting too hot. I don't think I heard mine complain. They must still be used to Vegas.

Jake was "repelling". He tied a rope to his shorts. The knot got too tight and he was stuck until Travis came home and rescued him.

These are the salmonberries. They look like a strawberry colored raspberry.

Sam with a bowl of blueberries. He kept scrunching up his nose while he was saying, "cheese". That's the best smile I could get out of him.

Hiking at Fish Creek

This was one of the hiking trails at Fish Creek. It was very long. We got kind of tired, but it was fun.

Jaden-she had a blast on the hike. Her energy never runs out.

Towards the end Ron was carrying Sam and Krew. Krew fell asleep and Sam was just plum tired. We hiked about 3 miles.

Me, Jaymi, Sam, and Jaden during the hike. The hiking trails are so fun in Alaska because the forest service maintains them and puts walk boards and bridges in to make them really nice.

Ron- He was taking all the pictures, so I made him stop and give me the camera once.

Sam fell off one of the bridges. It was so sad. He was walking and slipped. When he slipped he fell off the edge. It was about 3 feet high and luckily the ground was soft because he landed on his head. That's why his hair is so wet. 

Fish Creek Cabin

This is Fish Creek Cabin. We rented a boat and camped here with Jaymi and Kris for 3 days. There were hiking trails around the area and so we fished, hiked, slept, and had fun.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!!

This year I made cinnamon rolls for Father's Day. It was an enjoyable day, especially since we had Ron, My Dad, and Kris. Everyone loved the cinnamon rolls. It was my first time ever making them and they turned out awesome. Brent and Jake set the table and Jayley made the card.

My sister Jaymi and her husband Kris are visiting us in Alaska. Yesterday we went out to see the bears. These bears are totally wild. They come down to play in this stream. If you blow these pictures up you can see the bear to our right. 

I've been tagged

Okay, so I've been tagged. Jennifer, I really didn't mean for this to take 5 days. I actually was game to do it. I just couldn't get enough time to sit down and get it done. It's taken me about 4 different times at the computer. However, it was fun. I've definitely done some deeper cleaning since then.  Actually, funny as it is, some rooms are cleaner than when I took the pictures and some are much messier. So hope you all enjoy my pictorial into my life.

1) Kitchen Sink

  My sink is very boring and we have a water system hooked up to it that doesn't add to the beauty. As Jaden would say, "Bor-ring". Oh and I am being totally honest with "no cleaning". Yes, I had dishes in my sink. Shame!

2) The Fridge

My fridge needs to be reorganized very badly. I  thoroughly cleaned it out right before I went to Vegas. I mean I removed every shelf in the dang thing and scrubbed it. When I got home it was already chaos again. After taking these pictures I will be back cleaning the fridge again. 

It's not magnetic on the front, so..........

This is very boring, however since it's taken me 5 days to work on this post I have added lots of things to the bathroom. It's much prettier now. I will post a new picture after I finally get this post done.

5) My Favorite Room

This is my favorite room. Probably because there are no other rooms in the house except bedrooms and bathrooms. It's a "great room" where the kitchen, living, and dining are all in the same room.

It also is my favorite because this is the view out the dining room window. You can't see very good in the picture, but that white thing in the water is a cruise ship! It's fun to sit at the table and watch them come down the channel. 

P.S. I don't really have typos, I keep trying to fix the spacing. It's normal in the draft and then when I post it's separates words. I don't get it.

6) What the Kids are Doing

Jaden is playing at the table with some of Ron's tools that I am quite certain she is not suppose to be into.

Sam is playing with a little hot wheels car. He was making a vroom noise and driving it along the wall as he walked up the stairs.

7) Closet

I wanted to cheat so bad and pick up my closet first, but in trying to stick to the rules I grudgingly took this picture. Yes, it's as much of a mess as it looks in the picture.

8) Favorite Shoes

I love these shoes. I just got them while I was in Vegas. They are from Old Navy. They are sooooo comfortable and they are just rubber flip flops.

9) Self Portrait

Jayley took these pictures of me and Sam at the beach. The kids had beach day at school back in May.  I really didn't have any other pictures. 

10) Dream Vacation

Do I have a dream vacation??? I have two. As a family I would like to see a New England fall.

 and as for me and Ron I would love a Hawaiian Island cruise.
